Welcome to the new jasonbeanonline.com! We have been
away for quite some time now but I assure you it was not
for nothing. We are back with not only this new website
but with a new album as well! My new 11-track album is
called "What It Seems" and is available now. It features
not only myself, Chris and Paul, but also my friend Josh
Grosvent on guitar. The album was recorded at Wayne
Manor Recording by Josh Coy who also played bass. We
could not be happier with the results and I hope you feel
the same way too. So check it out, enjoy, and stay tuned
for more news and show updates!

I think anybody who lives in New York will agree with me
when I say "dear winter, we're sorry for what we did, now
leave us alone." Chris and I just walked back from Paul's
and we are trying very hard to thaw out. See, we had to
bring Paul the recording of our live radio broadcast from
last Sunday at the Redhouse before he (Paul) flies off to
Florida. Yup, miles away from this ice chest. We're
posting all of the live tracks in the media section for your
enjoyment so check it out everybody, and stay warm!

Woah! Where have I been? I know I know. After a brief
internet hiatus, I'm back. Let me first say that I hope
everybody had a wonderful Thanksgiving with their
families. What was I thankful for? My family and friends.
Law & Order. Dark chocolate and love. That about sums
that up. But I know what you're thinking, when can we
see you again? Fear not, although I am taking it easy for
the holiday season, I will be back out there starting with
the new year and you can expect a lot of good things
coming up Including a lot of new music and maybe some
special events. What kind of events you ask? I'm not
going to tell you. I guess you'll just have to keep coming
back and checking for yourselves. Won't you.

Fall is almost here, who else is excited? Anybody who
knows me knows that I am not summer person so I'm
looking forward to the 3 weeks of Fall before the snow
flies. Anyway, down to business. It's been a while
since my last update, we had some great shows since
then. First was the Henley Park show in Phoenix. It
rained, but we played anyway and because the audience
was so great they stuck it out. We appreciate that very
much so thank you all so much! Next we were happy to
play in the First Annual Clinton Arts & Music
Festival for the Red Cross. We had a really fun set and
I'll be headed back to Melodic Revolution in Clinton
later this month, details in the shows section. Pictures
of both of these shows are now available in the
media section. I also had a chance to play an acoustic
set out at Starbucks in Liverpool. That was great and it
was a long set so I got to play a lot of material that I
either usually don't get a chance to or that people
haven't heard yet. A Bunch of people came out and it
was fun joking around and singing for them. So yeah,
keep checking back. September is panning out to be a
pretty busy month as we head into my favorite time of
year, so I'll hopefully be adding some Rochester and
New York City shows soon. Bye everybody.

  08/03/06

Hey everybody, just wanted to let you all know about
something new here at jasonbean.com. Starting in
August I will be posting a brand new acoustic track each
month in the media section. This month we're kicking it
off with a song called "Let Me Win". It is a very
special song for me and I hope you enjoy it as well.
Also, if I post a song as the acoustic song of the month,
that means that it is either going to be on, or
considered for later full band recordings, so feel free
to tell me what you think. I also want to take a moment
to talk to you all about the upcoming Henley Park show
in Phoenix, New York. I am very excited about this gig,
Phoenix being my hometown and all. I'm hoping
everybody comes out and gives a listen. It is a free
outdoor concert and the details are in the shows section.
So until we meet again, take care!

  THIS JUST IN:

"When History Lets You Go" has been reviewed by Mark
Bialczak in the "STARS" section of The Post Standard.
Check it out in the media section under MUSIC.

Hey everybody, been a long time right? Last month was
kind of a slump as far as news or shows but July started
off with a bang Saturday night at The Shire for Salt Licks
II: Central New York Singer-Songwriter Showcase. It was
a success to say the least and everybody who came out
had something unique to share. I started off the night
followed by Laura Meyer, It's All Happening, Candice
Jarrett, Leif Olsen, Lindsey Smith, a guest appearence
by Andrew Joseph, and a special jam session featuring
showcase founders, Bill and Maggie. You can find all of
these guys on my MySpace page and they really are all
worth a listen. Coming up this weekend I have another
show at Mezzanotte in Syracuse with my full band.
Check out that line-up in the "Shows" section. We'll be
playing some songs off the new album as well as some
brand new material. Hope to see your smiling faces
  there, later guys!

Come on out to The Shire in Syracuse this July for their
second showcase! With six performances for $6.00 you
can't go wrong. For more information check out the
shows section. Also, we're working on getting some
pictures up from the show at Mezzanotte so keep an
  eye out for those.

 .....................................................................................

  05/21/06

The show at Mezzanotte was a success! And for all of
you who couldn't make it, last night was the surprise CD
release show. Which means that after what seems like an
eternity, you can now pick up a copy of "When History
Lets You Go". Check back here for more locations to buy
them at but they will definitely be available directly
from me and here on the website. Thanks to everybody
who did come out, I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did!

  05/03/06

Attention everybody! Come to Mezzanotte on May 20th
at 9pm for one great night of music. I will be opening up
for my brother's band The Pilot Lies as well as Merit and
Ted Eddison. It's an 18 and up show, five dollars at the
door. See you there! Right? I better.

  04/24/06

New pictures! Taken at the show on Saturday, check
them out in the media section.

 .....................................................................................

  04/23/06

What a great time last night. The show at the Coffee
Pavilion was a blast and everybody came out which was
awesome. I was a little nervous about people taking to
the new music, since the last EP seemed to stick with
everybody the way it did, but I think it went well. If
you're ever sitting around on a saturday night with
nothing to do go check that place out, the website is
  (www.coffeepavilion.com). They have original music
nights every other saturday as well as open mics all
week and a jazz band on fridays. Just a cool place to
hang out, I know I'm gonna head out there more.
I need to start looking for some May shows so keep
checking up on here for news on that and until we meet
  again, take care everybody.

 .....................................................................................

  04/11/06

New shows added! Check them out.

 .....................................................................................

  04/05/06

So the show Monday night at the Redhouse was a lot of
fun. I got to see some very talented people play and
hopefully was able to add something to the mix. It was
a cool thing to be a part of and I appreciate both Doug and
the Redhouse having me out. Next on the agenda, as is
I'm sure on a lot of your minds, the album. As most of you
know recording has been wrapped for a while now. While
I'm still trying to get the money to press it and looking
at different options, I really hope to get it to you guys
soon. I'm workin on some summer shows right now and
I'll keep you updated on anything I get before then. That's
all for now, see ya around.

 .....................................................................................

  09/09/05

  New layout!

 .....................................................................................

  07/29/05

The official date has been set for recording. August 20th.
Luckily, we found a day when Chris wasn't busy with his
band, The Pilot Lies, and Paul could swing a day from
his excellent family. It's going to be a blast. Chris is
finishing up the graphic layout for the album as well. Labor
  of love, work continues.

 .....................................................................................

  06/23/05

Well the songs are prepared, ready to record. Looks like
you're gonna get eleven new tracks with a special guest
appearance by an old tune from the acoustic EP, Take
Your Time. We've also decided not to wait until the album
is out to start playing shows with the new material.
Anxious to get it out there and get some feedback. So as
we continue to rehearse and look for shows, be sure to
  check back for updates.

 .....................................................................................

  04/25/05

So the new album is officially written and rehearsals have
begun with the band. My brother Chris will be playing
drums and my good friend Paul will be playing piano. The
songs sound excellent as the hard work continues. Keep
an eye out for more updates and possibly some shows.
  Later!
